Not a lot of small companies have an in-house accountant. We are very fortunate at Management Recruiters of Iowa City to have Bob Boelman with us in that capacity. Bob comes to us with many years of accounting management and general business experience.
Before Bob moved to the Iowa City area in January of 2004, he retired from Ag Services of America, Inc. He served as the accounting manager when it originated as a start up finance company in 1985. When Ag Services was acquired by Rabo Bank of the Netherlands in December of 2003, Bob was serving as Director of Human Resources for the company. He completed 18 years of service with the company at the time of acquisition.
Prior to his employment with Ag Services, Bob held several accounting management positions with both O's Gold Seed Company and Asgrow Seed Company.
Bob's general agriculture knowledge is extensive as are his contacts within the industry. Along with receivables and payables, he handles payroll and all financial reporting and budgeting.
